Roots and wings
“There are hundreds of little details. All lovingly thought out and realised. I invite you to discover them with us.” Sepp Schwaiger
“Family” means a lot to me! We are currently marvelling overjoyed at how our little Sepp(i) is discovering the world. This year marked the beginning of a very special step in life for Tanja and me, which we were able to celebrate on 1 January 2018 with his birth on New Year’s Day, before we said “I do” to our family in front of God at the end of October.
Every day I see myself again – as a little explorer who is loved and embraced by his parents and grandparents, and indeed by all his friends, uncles and aunts – simply wonderful. We want to pass on “roots and wings” – just as I was allowed to learn them. When it’s stormy and raging, you have to be grounded and strong – and in turbulent times, it helps to keep your feet on the ground. But I am also grateful for the creativity I have learnt and the wings I have been given along the way… A bird’s eye view simply makes it easier to judge many things.
I am particularly proud that we can show our grandparents and parents today that their hard work has done so much good in us and that their work is progressing. Thank you for the solidarity in our families – “be proud and grateful for it!”
